The Concord Chorale is proud to present the first concert of our fortieth anniversary season, “Sounding Joy! Canticles of Light.” Concert-goers will struggle to find a more stimulating, exciting, and multi-lingual holiday performance this season. This challenging and varied program includes carols from Sweden, Latvia, and Nigeria, settings of Ave Maria from Estonia, Germany, and Italy, as well as a handful of familiar and traditional favorites. The chorale will also perform the hauntingly beautiful Canticles of Light by Bob Chilcott and the jazzy Magnificat by Concord composer William Fletcher.
Sounding Joy will be accompanied by the Concord Chorale Chamber Orchestra and Youth Chorus. Perfomances will be at South Congregational Church, 27 Pleasant Street, Concord on Saturday December 13th at 8:00 PM and on Sunday December 14th at 4:00 PM. Advance tickets are available at Merrimack County Savings Bank and Ballard’s in McKee Square in Concord, or by calling (603) 224-0770.
